Broken Capillaries Treatment:

This service targets those annoying little red/purple lines on our nose and cheek area. These tiny vessels are very simple to treat with the Nd:YAG laser. Most clients walk out with some redness, and most importantly, without those red/purple capillaries! Similar to the Spider Vein treatment, the vessels absorb the laser energy and coagulate, usually scattering and therefore disappearing immediately.

Any one area generally needs 1 -2 treatments. Follow up is scheduled for 6 weeks post treatment.

Spider Vein Treatments:

Using the Nd:YAG laser, we are able to treat leg veins. Any vessel that is either purple or red are great candidates for this laser vein treatment. The laser is absorbed by the hemoglobin, resulting in, instant disappearance of unwanted veins/vessels. Most treatments on leg veins result in temporary welting (resolve in less than 2 hours), redness of the area, and the vessel usually looks darker than it was. This darker coagulated vessel, will become debris and eventually (usually within 1-2 weeks) disappear.

Most clients need anywhere from 1 - 3 visits on one area. A follow up visit is always booked for 6 weeks post treatment. Compression stockings or tensor bandages must be used for 1-2 weeks post treatment. This will help keep those vessels collapsed.

Photofacials:

The goal of photofacials is to literally cause the darker pigmented areas — ie. un damage, age spots, etc,— to become darker and irritated to allow that unwanted pigment to shed and leave behind a nicer lighter skin in its place. Most clients notice significant improvement within 2 - 4 weeks.

There are many types of pigmentation - Epidermal (superficial), Dermal (Deep) and Mixed Dermal/Epidermal. Epidermal pigmentation is usually made up of solar lentigenes and freckles. These are generally on the surface of the skin, and therefore easier to remove. Dermal Pigmentation is located in the dermis - much deeper. Melasma is a good example of Dermal Pigmentation. Mixed Epidermal/Dermal Pigmentation is just that, a mix of both types of pigmentation. We use our high-powered Jeisys Smooth Cool IPL for Epidermal Pigmentation and our Apogee Elite Alexandrite Laser for Dermal Pigmentation.

Reasons for Pigmentation:

• Overexposure to the sun. UVA/UVB rays cause trauma to the skin, much of the time resulting in unwanted brown spots

• Hormonal - i.e. Melasma - caused by estrogen from pregnancy or the pill

• Skin Trauma - i.e. Acne

Photo Facial (Pigmentation/Sun Damage/Age Spots)

Great for age prevention. Increases collagen production and evens skin tone.  Effectively treats pigmentation/sun damage/age spots and increases collagen without downtime.  The spots will appear darker post treatment, forming a slight scab which will then slough off within 2-3 weeks.

Rosacea/Redness/Broken Capillaries (with IPL)

IPL treatment cannot cure Rosacea, however, it will help with the annoying symptoms - the most common being, diffused redness and telangectasias.  3-4 treatments at 3-6 week intervals are recommended.  However, results will be evident with only 1 treatment.

Photo Rejuvenation - Melasma and Sensitivities

This treatment produces great results for these more specific conditions - however, due to the sensitivity of these skin types, treatment packages are recommended for best results.  These conditions take time to rectify.  With each treatment subtle differences will be noted.

Acne - Smooth Cool IPL

Acne is a disease without a cure, however, there are many treatments and products that do help the condition - IPL is one of them.  It is very effective in destroying the bacteria in the skin causing fewer breakouts and smoother skin.  Even with just one treatment there is a significant difference.

Electrolysis:

Electrolysis is an ideal treatment for those individuals who have hair that a laser can’t see. Electrolysis is performed 1 hair at a time with a fine wire filament (called a needle). The needle is actually the same width as the hair, allowing it to slide into the follicle alongside the hair. An electric current is delivered to the root area, which will cauterize the contact with the papilla (which nourishes and produces the root), causing it enough damage so it can no longer produce another hair.

CryoProbe

The CryoProbe is a device that treats benign skin lesions including: warts, skin tags, benign moles, etc. using nitrous oxide cartridges. It uses pinpoint accuracy, allowing us to treat a lesion from 1mm-15mm in size.

What to expect

You will experience minimal discomfort and as a result, this will allow for a longer treatment (up to 15 seconds per freeze) and a deeper freeze for more effective results.  The unwanted tissue will slowly die off over the following 1-2 weeks.  Sometimes the tissue will turn dark after day 3-5 and slowly begin to fall off.
